This Summer you can exhibit your artwork in the CAC’s Tiny Fundraiser. Gain notoriety as a donor artist and come enjoy mini receptions on Thursdays, July 8, 15, 22, August 5, 12, 19. Deliver your 6×6 artwork by the end of June to have your work hung in the gallery and sold to support the arts where you live. Then come out for vendors, fun, raffles, and treats on the reception nights, as well as to purchase 6×6 artwork for $20 to support the arts. Bring your art, build your collection! This two-day event will include four main pillars: Girl/Guy Talk, Financial Planning, My Voice Matters and I’m Grown- What Now? We will also have group discussions and breakout sessions for all the youth to engage in conversations that will benefit their overall growth and development. There will be team building exercises, games and
motivational speakers. Giveaways and lunch will be provided. Registration is free. Space is limited.

Free food and family fun will be at the Cultural Arts Center of Douglasville/ Douglas County tonight, Thursday, July 8, 5-7 pm. It’s a Summer evening to celebrate the arts and community. Water & Sewer Authority hosts the evening with a giant BBQ from Zen Catering. Lawn activities will be provided for fun and education about the precious resource water. View the “Waterworks” Exhibit on display at the center, a collection of art by four artists: Arnold German, Patricia Hahn, Margalena Lepore, and Arlaine Morrison. In conjunction with the stunning exhibit, shop the Tiny Fundraiser exhibit in the community room and purchase artwork for your collection at only $20 each to support the arts.
The Douglasville Police Department invites everyone to fellowship together while discussing topics impacting our community. Discussions are held on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month. (No 4th Thursday meetings in November or December, nor on holidays). We speak on local issues and work together as one for the benefit of the community.
